Sworn and Certified Translation for Official Submission.
In Germany, a certified translation (beglaubigte Ubersetzung) must be produced by a sworn translator (vereidigter Ubersetzer) who is officially authorised by a Landgericht. The sworn translator attaches a signed and stamped statement to the translation confirming its accuracy and completeness. This certification is what allows the translation to be submitted to courts, Standesamter, immigration authorities, universities and government bodies as an equivalent to the original document.
We work with sworn translators for all language pairs in which certification is required. Our sworn translators are registered with German courts and cover German-English, German-French, German-Spanish, German-Italian and German-Polish. For other language pairs, we will advise before the project begins whether a sworn translator is available in our network.
Sworn translations are delivered with the physical translator statement where required. For documents submitted to German authorities, the statement is in German. For international submissions, we advise on the appropriate form. Digital certified translations are available for certain authorities -- please specify your submission requirement at enquiry stage.
